switching from automatic to manual shift mode for g35 while driving?

Is that bad for the engine if you switch when you're driving? I was test driving with a dealer in a new g35 car and the dealer did that and it wasn't a test car.

BTW you guys like the automatic w/ shift mode whoever has them?

its fine for it.....yes. i like it. wish it was a manual though(d@mn wife....lol)

I heard that it was bad because of switching gears or something like that; that could mess up the transmission.

None issue.. when your driving at highway speeds and you move it to manual, it downshifts to 4th, I like the car, automatic very much!!!

still dont have the car eighter LoL but i just read the manual and to save u guys some time it doesnt say that u cannot switch from manual to drive while cars in motion.

ya, it downshifts because it goes to whats called the 'passing gear'.

I just read the g35 coupe manual and it says you can switch when driving or at stop.

you CAN shift from drive to manual parked or while driving. scratch the last comment. i read it in the manual also. wanted to save u guys time.
