Hey guys i'm starting my NA => TT swap, i'm switching over the NA wiring harness and NA pws pump and NA upper fuel rail (on top of the very back of the engine) just like the Z1 motorsports conversion says you can do.

Has anyone actually done this in a swap though, and if so how well does it work going by the Z1 conversion? I know that using the NA wiring harness means i need to buy an electronic boost controller and stand alone boost gauge, i have both of them.

The boost controller is a HKS type-S, and to be honest i have absolutely no clue how to hook it up. There are a couple instrustion pictures in the manual but then the problem becomes which one represents the 300zx TT.

Also if anyone has tips or know of reaccuring problems with the swap, please if you would lend some advice

Thanks to all in advance

run your vacuum line for your boost controller and boost gauge off of one of the nipples that come off the back of the balance tube. If you have deleted your AIV or Carbon canister those are two of the nipples you can use to connect your gauge and EBC into the engine. The stock boost solenoid actually runs off the passenger side of the balance tube, and if you delete the carbon canister there should be an open vacuum nipple on the driver side of the balance tube that can either be capped or used for your boost controller/gauge.This is the one I am talking about.

Check out http://www.twinturbo.info There are a lot of helpful writeups there.

The boost controller I believe will have a solenoid for both sides. You will have to have a line running from both wastegates and T those together into your new solenoid. This should hook into the out side of the solenoid.

The hard piping that connects to each of the throttle bodies should have a nipple on it right before the coupler. You will have connect a line going from those and T them together to run into your new solenoid. This should hook into the in side of the solenoid.

The soft accordian piping have a nipple one on each side that you will need to cap.

I think you need the pulley from a TT power steering pump to mount on your NA pump because the belt width is different.

Also, seriously consider a new EFI harness. I think you will be surprised how easily the one you have now will break. Those plastic connectors get very brittle over the 20 yrs it has been on the motor. I also changed my alternator harness and battery harness.

Electrical issues are very common on the Z and I want to eliminate them. It makes troubleshooting a new conversion and daily reliability so much better.
