Does anyone know the difference in mounting assembly for the adjustable and non-adjustable rear shock suspension? Found out my mounting plate is cracked and need to change the whole shock assembly. My car is adjustable, but because of my having no money, I had to buy non-adjustable shocks. SO, do I NEED to buy non-adjustable mounting plate and do I need a conversion mounting kit as well? Or can I just buy the adjustable mounting plate and it'll work? I'd like to keep as much of the adjustable suspension as I can, so in the future when I do have more money, I can turn everything back to adjustable.

Also, does anyone know where I can get cheap/decent priced mounting plates and/or mounting conversion kits?

the rears IIRC were very similar, I honestly can't remember if I adapted the adjustable upper mounts or if I used the n/a mounts, the fronts are the issue, the strut housing's and gland nuts are different and can be adapted by machining the gland nut

Ok well nevermind about the mounting plate. I just need the bushing for the plate and the conversion kit. I've been finding the rear conversion kit, and very few of the rear and front together in the same package. This is seriously a pain the the butt.

I'm pretty sure the conversion kit for the rear is just a bunch of rods and bushings/boots, 'cause the non-adjustable rear shocks are thinner than the adjustables. I'm trying to get the front and rear together in the same package to save money and so I wont have to worry about it when I get to the fronts. I read in a manual that the front Strut housing can just be disconnected. Err, like the wire that connects the electrical adjustable can be disconnected from the housing.
