Support me if this idea makes sense. (speed sensor override topic)

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

This is My current location of my Speed sensor/parking brake overide switch. Due to my thoughtlessness, I really did not think where to put the switch until actual switch was connected to the unit. I was keep thinking to find the perfect place to hide them for the perfect stock look. Since I have 2wd transmission i have one open spot between my heated seat switches and i believe others have SNOW button on a 4wd model, if i understand the design of the switch, it should be simple on/off functional button and it should not be too hard to install and if my switch gets installed there, others will see no funny switch and the most of all, I can use my coin holder again!!!

what do you guys think? do I make sense? forgive my Lousy english

Do it...find out how much that switch retails from a dealership.

I think it would be extremely "stealth" and is what I would do if I was in that scenario.

As long as you have a multimeter...wiring the Infiniti switch should be no issue.

I get a wholesale price on that the part # is 25130-1BA0A, and its in special order nobody has it in stock.

LISTS $97.87 COST $78.30

Well, i guess they will send me whole assembly including modules and stuff.

Let me order it and see how they send it.

BTW, what is the multimeter? lol

I don't think you will need it as the Infiniti switch should be a simple rocker switch. Basically either OPEN or Closed

I have to applaud your desire to keep it stock looking.

However, I do not think using the Snow switch will be the easiest thing since there is 8-10 micro pins. You will need to build a pinout and you might run into a problem without the correct male connector.

If I were you I would think about using crimp connectors (more reliable than maybe soldering) put the switch somewhere easy for you to reach and use the switch you already have.

I would try fitting in at the base of the center console between the carpet and finisher panel. If you position the switch face down, you will not have to perform any out of the ordinary electrical work that you are not comfortable doing. This is also a less intrusive installation less irreversible alterations to the wiring and body panels. I like this type of install, it is fast easy and James Bondish if done correctly.

I will try that this weekend~ thanks to me who was too lazy to cut the wires to make it neat(I have like 2 ft. of each wires rolled inside my unit hehe).

Thanks for the tip, Steve
