FInally budgeted enough to get this thing finished!!!..
Bought:
All of the COP wiring and most importantly the coils.
An extra OBDII harness
All of the timing parts for the motor (OEM Nissan)
All of the Oil Pump parts (OEM Nissan)
I did a rundown, and pretty mutch every bolt on the engine is brand new, along with every component and seal, with the exception of the girdle
Bought all of the -6 fuel lines
Also bought my Aeromotive FPR, inline filter, and Stealth pump
Bought the rebuild kit for my z32 Brakes too.
Now for the sad part....I'm going to be traveling for work for the next 3-4 weeks. Boxes full of christmas are literally showing up every day, and I cant start building till the end of the month....
Sad Face.
Oh well, have some pics of me fixing the wipers on the MR2. Its a build in its own right - The, "how little can I spend to make this an awesome DD - Build." (Edit, pics will need to wait until I can get to a computer to upload them)
Totals so far:
Car - $400
Brake Master - $337 (Paid my local shop to help diagnose and install)
Wiper fix - ($3 in quick set epoxy, I'm looking for a new set of arms for a more permenent solution)
Pics....
Hood removed, inner plastics and spare tire moved...found a mouse nest the size of a football behind the master cylinder, and some rust...
wiper motor removed
Wiper arms, and inner linkage removed, most cars are the same, just plastic ball joints, be firm but gentle, the rods bend easily, but can always be bent back...
Found the problem, this is the end thats supposed to attach the motor....its been smashed, luckily the plastic ball joint was still in the arm compartment, its hagard, but usable.
Spent some time, straigtening out the bent housing, because of all the damage it wont hold the plastic housing any more...
Quick set to the rescue, this s*** is awesome...
Mix it up, work quick, its starts to harden in about 2-3 minutes, and cures overnight
Good as new, for now... I was careful to cement the bearing housing in WITHOUT getting any epoxy on the race. Lubed it up, along with all the others and put it all back together. Now I just need to fix the intermittent switch.
Total - $740
Up next:
Door Hinge Sag
Radio/Speaker Install
Intermitant Wiper Switch Rebuild
General Interior Clean up
Tires/Wheels (Baller Status of course)
Tune up
Coolant Bleed
Rear Wheel Bearings
Exhaust
The goal is to finish the above for as little money as possible, still shopping around for options - above is a complete list (excluding rust) of everything that needs to be fixed to make the car perfect, its drivable now, but not perfect.
