Its tax season...tis the season to pick up deals...Jmoore124 wrote:You bring the sauce, ill bring the women. lol In all seriousness, I am going to try hard to get away and make it up there. Ill make sure we get together if I do.
On another note, why is there like 50 Ka-t part outs in the F/s area these days?
Codyace, on Zilvia, is running a modified stock SR manifold (swain coated, extrude honed, 38mm external gate), aftermarket downpipe/elbow (extrude honed elbow, swain coated), with a new GTX28##R turbo (coated housing). Not sure of the exact turbo...PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:I'm on the lookout for a good turbo and manifold. Something that will max out around 400whp or so. I probably wont take it that high, but I like the efficiency and such.
that's what makes it fun thoughWDRacing wrote:. 400 and you really have to be paying attention to what you're doing.
They are not listed, but they still sell them. I sent them an email asking if they were for sale, I paid ~$100 for them and the remote mount IACV plates.BTL_nissan wrote:Hope you are still going threw with this build, looks pretty close to my setup. I too bought the garbage a** manifold from godspeed and I am running into the same problems. My biggest problem is finding the "velocity stacks" for the intake mani. I cannot find these anywhere. Xcessive does not have them listed on their site. Are they needed? What problems am I going to run into without using them? Do you have a part number so I can order them?
In the upper RPMs maybe, but down low its responsiveness is what makes it so great. plus the GTX wheels and housing options let you tweak the responsiveness for a wider effective powerband.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:a GT2860 is way way out of it's efficiency range at 400whp.
Really a 2.4 liter flows more than it really should be used to anyway. The KA's only saving grace is that it doesn't make s*** for power in the upper RPMs, and neither will this turbo so you'd just shift earlier.

I'll see if I can make one of those for a GT2860 and a KA.
I would like to see that, but were also not talking apples to apples...the 2876 does not respond the same as the disco potato (2860), and has a bigger compressor. with the newer wheels and aero tweaks on the TGX turbos its supposed to resond even better.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:I made that GT2860 comparison chart for a KA, just waiting on NICO management to upload it
I could email it to you if you'd like too.
I pulled the map directly from turbobygarrett.
They are listed. You have pull up the actual manifold and read threw the 3 paragraph explanation and in blue letters they mention the tubes. Had to click on the blue letters which linked me to the listing. Suprisingly the price has dropped and I paid 69 bucks shipped. Xcessive shipped the next day they used fedex which is garbage and will take 6 days to get here but I'm not in a rush for the price!!!superDorifto wrote:They are not listed, but they still sell them. Is an entirely different animal than the 2860. The CFM alone separates the two by a huge number...i'll dig up the specs.superDorifto wrote:PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:the 2876
I guess I read that and figured you were talking about a 2860...superDorifto wrote: DIsco Potato, up in this piece.
