wow...old thread. In any case, turbos are not allowed in Top Fuel. And according to an article I read a while back, the only turbo Top Fuel car to run was the reason they banned turbos. It basically killed the competition. Norwood racing has constructed a 4 cylinder version of a Top Fuel motor and is using the same rods and pistons. The stroke is the same as well. The crank has similar construction but made for 4 cylinders. It's pretty much half a Top Fuel Motor. It's estimated HP is over 4000. It uses 2 Turbos.

As far as the Procharger 11 PSI Mustang, if it's using a Centrifugal supercharger, than it will NOT see max boost until it is at or close to redline. Positive displacement blowers on the other hand have a relatively flat boost curve. These things can even provide positive pressure at idle.

You're right, it doesnt see max boost until it nears redline......but, it stays within a pound or two of it throughout the rpm range. Trust me, the car has no noticable lag whatsoever. He would always jump ahead of my Buick......until my turbo spooled, then it was all over.

I am in KC, home of procharger, and I would like to influence these guys to build a kit. If anyone else is in, please visit the following website, and let them know what you want:http://www.procharger.com/suggest.shtml

Oh, by way I have a set of fenders for S13, and I can find you a bumper cover fairly easy. It's so sad, she looks a lot like the 92 I totaled. So I bought my 91

Seriously, Superchargers are Great for dailydriven applications. Turbo's are best for the Track/Drag/Drift...that's just my opinion, u know. But hey, if you have big $$$ and Turbo is your thing, Cool.

Personally I'd rather not put the wear and tear and mileage on my expensive Turbo car unless it's at the track.

Let's face it, were talking about a few important factors that differ between us all: $$$ money, Reliability, and...POWER! And I'm POOR.

If anyone has any questions about a daily driven Supercharged car, I have a Prototype Jackson SC'd CRX Si. Look to the left under my avatar. Later.
