gidday Veery tidy job tloof. by the looks of that v6 belt it looks to me that you could use it to drive both the water pump as well as ur altenator. what the waterpump would need is the pulley to be turned inside out I think withe the v6 buick motors use is the same belt on all pulleys so it would mean looking for a pump pulley off a v6 and machining the hole to fit your shaft as well as the boltholes. possibly also making an extension shaft for the altenator too. then its just a matter of finding somewhere to place an idler bracket to tension the belt. I love the way you've made the baseplate template for the blower keep us posted. Robi1 the force is strong with this one (must be the boost comin off the blower)

Right, so, uh, I got lost after like 2 pages of that...but...TWO WORDS:KA24E/DE-R KITI'd totally buy a bolt on supercharger kit for like $3000...and you said parts were $1100...so mass produce this kit! And only sell it to nico forum users!

alright, os overall, in my opinion, this has GOT to be better for us SOHC guys, but, i want to do the swap in my 89 for a RB20DET, now, the way you put it, is somewhere around 210rwhp, the RB20DET put's out around the same RWHP which one would be better for me to get? im asking for some assistance on the matter, the engine itself has 149000 on it, but i just completely rebuilt the head around10k ago, and the header's are brand new, like 2 weeks old, tiger already has an RB on hold for me, i love the lay out of the RB but i have an affinity for the KA and the RB look's SOOO much sexier sitting in an engine bay, so, if i could get some input id appreciate it everyone, thanx:)

You are wrong! The block, timing cover, oil pan, oil pickup tube, and exh manifold are different too! All truck version KA24de's have a rear sump oil pan & pickup tube that are NOT interchangable with the front sump 240SX KA24de.
Dammit tloof is gone and with him his amazing pictures. Tloof, if you're out there, bump! Please put back your pictures! Such a great thread.

I will add one thing that we discussed 5 yrs ago: a custom oil pan and sump to make the 240sx ka24de work in '97 nis hardbody are not THAT hard compared to all those random brackets and spacers and timing covers to source from the Frontier KA24DE, as seen in this http://infamousnissan.com/forum/showthr ... 591&page=4 mod. To me, that's less work.

Has anyone thought about a Rotrex S/C instead of the Eaton unit?

Any chance those pictures could be reposted of the setup, I'm fascinated by the supercharging idea.
