Ok here is the scoop. The car was running LEAN as hell when I first got it to the dyno, close to 17:1 af ratios at WOT. It first dynod 166whp, then they added +20% fuel across the board with the safc and hit 198whp. They tried upping it more but the numbers went back down. About this time I realized that I originally planned on low boost, which meant I was ok running stock fuel pump. Since on a whim I decided to up the boost, I absolutely overlooked my fuel pump needing an upgrade.

Needless to say after a little leaning out on the new fuel pump with the safc the first solid run was about 211whp with 200wtq. The following dynos the a/f ratio was tweaked but the peak power remained about the same, due to heatsoak. I got video and dyno charts that I should be able to get up by tomorrow.

At this point I am just going to add things to keep it running good. Down the road I might consider meth injection, a bigger throttle body, or getting the cams degreed in.

Nice setup!!!!!!!

I haven't seen any SC KA's or 240's matter of fact.

But, you should def hop on a EMS.Because my boy had a SOHC KA-T with a T3 super 60. He put down @ 7psi 210 /235Ft-bs.

I know they're totally different, but I think you could make more power with you setup.

Thanks for the comments guys, it definitely took more work per horsepower than a turbo kit, but I think it was worth it just to try something different. I think I might be getting spark blowout a bit too, which could have hurt my dyno a bit but I'll have to change my plugs out and see what results I get.

Just decrease the gap a little. I start at .035 and work my way down until I don't get blowout. Although I don't think you should have any blowout at your boost level. Never decrease it shorter then .028 IMO. If at that point you are still having issues, you need a better coil or more voltage.

Sorry it took so long to get these up, but here is the dyno for it. Criticism welcome, I am still looking to squeeze out a few more hps, but consider this is with quite a bit of heatsoak at 85 degrees ambient.

I think you should toss the stock cams in and dyno it again for a comparison.

I will keep that in mind about changing the cams, it has already crossed my mind since I hear mixed reviews on the BC cams. It was at 9psi on the dyno, and yes was fine tuned with a safcII.

nice to actually see it in person last night; when I was at the track with Aaron.

a friend of mine said the BC cams are copies of someone's else, and they have becoming less consistent, but that's just rumors.

Just picked up the same kit for $700 with supercharger. I will start my own thread but I wanted to say thanks for the inspiration.

AH loved the vids! Awesome man, hey where did you have those BC cams dialed in on the sprockets? stock positions or otherwise?

Yeah, I'm thinking with a supercharger setup, stock cams would probably be more efficient, without port work and such. Since the supercharger's powerband is broader than that of a typical turbo'd ka.

Sounds awesome, can we get some vids of it on the street, or track???

I bought the adapter plates from Thomas Knight and the s/c from ebay. Theres alot of custom fabbed stuff as well.

The best I could get at the track is a 9.1 in the 1/8th, was hoping for better. Maybe I should get serious about tuning the cams and maybe some kind of cooling. It heatsoaks so much that my times get slower as the day goes on.

What about switching to a different fuel like E85 for cooler burn / charge cooling?

E85 + Water Methanol Injection = Teh Win

OP you should save up for a whipple twinscrew once you get this thing dialed in... that would be sick as hell!
