I plan on making sure to get at least a video and some dyno charts posted once its all said and done. I know it won't appease probably 90% of the people because it won't have 300+ hp that it seems everyone wants. My opinion is that everything is good in moderation. I wouldn't say the setup was hard to piece together just took a little more research and understanding than your everyday turbo setup. I don't want to give the wrong impression on this setup and tell everyone its the best ever, but hopefully I can give a little more insight to others that might want to try this route.

On a good note, JWT was able to retune my ecu within a week and it should be here this week. Just waiting on the dealership to get my parts in then maybe we can get it up and running within a week.

Yes the belt routing is all figured out, all that is left is bolting everything together to get measurements. I will have to get a 6rib belt to the proper length and slice off 2 of the ribs. Though I had considered trying to find a place to make custom belts for this application as well.

Time for an update! We got the car apart and found some bad stuff, apparently my timing cover was cracked in two spots, good thing I had a new one! We also found plastic pieces from the timing chain guide in the oil pan/ strainer.

A little before and after!

Next we ended up putting a little RTV on the bolts through the adapter plate since they will be seeing boost, dont need any leaks.

All bolted up with the vacuum nipple for FPR/boost gauge.

After alot of thinking / squeezing, found a nice little home for the idle control stuff.

You can see here that the given adapter bracket for the alternator didnt have a chance to bolt up, so we just used a small piece of steel to make it work.

But wait it gets better! After bolting the supercharger up and just making sure everything looked good, I noticed that the actuator on the bottom side was never going to function because it was caught on my heater hose. You can barely see it on this picture. We simply made a longer hose and routed it above that little lip.

Here is the very small amount of clearance from our belt to the lower alternator bolts, we actually had to shave off the washer and lock washer to get it to fit!

Next I had my friend Don weld up a really nice intake pipe for my setup, you can see the nipple welded on that goes to the idle control. The a/c line was in the way, nothing a little bending couldn't fix.

I had a small little bump in that my throttle body was barely hitting my intake manifold, going to be shaving off a good chunk where the coolant line normally runs through and it should clear fine.

I think it looks awsome. My buddy started the same project, but he's having a kid now so he sold the project off. There is another guy in the midwest here who comes to the drift tournaments who has a supercharged ka. His is a single slammer though. He loved it. I thought it was cool as hell. I looked and found a pic.

Small update, shaved the TB down and it just barely hits my tps sensor still. I rotated the TB sideways just to try and get it started up, can remedy that later. Also an unnamed person put my distributor in wrong, so I couldn't get it to start. After putting it in the correct position the engine sounded like it wanted to start up, but alas, the battery was sitting at a measly 11.3v. Time to let it sit on the charger overnight, will give it a shot tomorrow hopefully.

Well I did get the motor up and started. It's running pig rich and idles like crap, can barely keep it alive. Time to start troubleshooting, it sounds like a v8 with cams atm.

Well I guess all those late night hours take their toll because I had the MAF wired wrong, I know, I'm an idiot. But the car now runs good, idle still needs to be fixed but it is at 5psi. I haven't really revved it past 4k on the road but it pulls strong even broke my 245 tires loose at 2200rpm lol. The whine is not really that loud, which is totally ok with me though. Right now I can't run a hood because the TB will barely hit.

Thats awsome man, glad it was a simple wiring fix!!!

One of these days we'll have to get together so I can give her a "test drive" Hey, got any more pics of your car itself? I've always loved that model...

Alright, I posted a couple of these in another thread but why not. I will try to get a vid of it running as soon as I get my idle situation taken care of. I plan on taking it to the dyno for fine tuning by the end of the week. And on another note the rattling that made me replace all the timing chain assembly... was the water pump HA! It probably needed the maintenance anyways. Live and learn.

*edit* And for the pics or ban responses! It still needs to be cleaned up but heres the raw product.

Yeah I knew that was coming, but I plan on changing the oil a bit the first month or 2 so I'm not spending alot on filters. Besides I have put 5 miles on it and already changing oil due to fuel contamination.

Okay well apparently my camera can't record with sound. The car is up and running smooth, purrs like a kitten at idle. There is a minor setback, due to my underdrive pulley I was to understand I would be at approximately 6psi. Since I also have cams they have lowered the boost, which is about at 4- 4.5psi. To be quite honest with the money I spent to get this up and running nicely, I decided it is not enough boost. I plan on getting the stock crank pulley back on by tomorrow and looking to see 9psi. Hopefully I will get it dyno'd friday and will have a decent camera to get video of it. Actually might be running it at the 1/4 track this weekend as well.

Well the car pulls like an NA car but more, smooth powerband. Quite honestly with this low of boost I'd be surprised if I am putting more than 190 to the ground, though the safc isn't tuned in yet. As far as the cams go, I had considered either modding mine or buying the jwt adjustable cam gears, but that would have to be later down the road. With the boost upped I am hoping for closer to 230-240whp. At this point I am trying to find an easy way to torque the belt on there good so it doesn't slip.
