My GF wants me to sell her car, so I'm doing a little research before I do. It's an '06 vert with only 12K and some stock options like navigation, rims, tint, etc. She paid $38 and is hoping for around $25. From looking around I don't know if I can get that much in SoCal. Especially given the economy. The car is in excellent condition, is $25K reasonable for me to price it?

Nope you wont get $25k (If you do congrats) and keep in mind the economy is going to get alot worse, so the longer you hold it, the lower they will offer. Good luck nevertheless.

looks more like $20-24k, I found several listings int he $22-27k askign range, if you price it a bit under others you are more likely to sell it faster, you just gotta look at what other options a buyer has and why should they buy yours? most buyers would rather have the cheaper car even is it's missing a couple of options or has a few more miles

Yeah, I was thinking it was not gonna sell for that much, even with the low miles. Guess I'll have to talk to her and see what her bottom line is.

i just bought a used z myself, and saw MANY for about 22/24. You definitely have a chance at 25, a lot of the cars priced that high weren't even close to the condition yours is in...they were garbage. Good luck!

As far as the verts also realize I'm talking about Southern California. We can use them all year long, not just in the summer. I guess all I can do is price it at maybe $27 and hope for $25, and if that doesn't work we'll go from there.

u still haven't told us enthusiast touring or grand touring and if i had a vert i would use it all year anyway. im the type of guy that will roll around with the top down in the middle of the winter. plus tops wear out. thats another reason why used verts are undesirable. i would get one if it came in a hard top. all u need to steal a vert is a pocket knife.

Now that the 370z's are on their way, you're gonna have a harder time selling it for 25k. the 07's and 08's are selling for about 26k to 30k around here. And remember, the 06's still have the de motors while the 07-08 have the hr. Also, some people are reluctant to buy 06's because some are known to have oil consumption issues. Good luck!

I doubt you'll get 25K, I just got mine for 23K new.

Sure, I got one heck of a deal. But if I think you'll have a better chance at selling it in another state. List it online, and hopefully you sell.

Have a good one!

Good Luck with the sale!
