Not sure how the forum feels about YT links, but has anyone every seen/commented on this:

Long story short, old fellow theoretically preempting subframe failure buy adding additional grommets at the subframe. His approach and idea makes sense, definitely seems like it would add a little extra support. Considering how much I've read about subframe bushing issues...and what I've seen is required to replace them....this kinda looked like it might help with bushings that ARE worn, but the car's not worth all the trouble to replace (daily, short distance, cheap car)

He's basically turning the floating coupling into a solid one (albeit solid rubber). Should work fine as long as the extra vibration doesn't bother you. It might put some extra load on the engine mounts handling bumps and make them deteriorate faster, but those are a lot easier to replace than subframe bushings. Not a bad idea.

Many thanks for bringing this up. I wasn't sure what my noise was. But I replaced my cv axles which i needed anyway after 360k mi and right strut and some other suspension parts on passenger side. Still had noise when driving and stop and reverse. Ordered red bushings from aliexpress.com and did the hack cutting bushing in middle and putting bolt and washer back and now no noise.

Got on question on this. Are there just the 2 front bolts where I did this or are there some toward back of the car also?

There's another similar pair at the rear of the subframe. That's true on just about all Nissan FWD's.

The AWD's are just an FWD with extra hardware. The subframes are identical.
