the subaru also uses the same R180 differential as the CA18DET Silvias made in 89 in japan, the cusco LSD part number are the same between the two, so i guess with the right housing you may be able to use one, i got both a R200 and R180 diffs, i am about to weld the R180 for drag

I think Liberty = Legacy

From Subaru Australia.

The Legacy uses a 225mm clutch disc with a 1" x 24 input spline. A CA18DE Pulsar uses a 215mm clutch with a 1" x 24 spline.

Now if that really fits, the Legacy, depending on the year, uses the same clutch assembly (PP, disc, TO bearing) as a 2.5RS, 2.2 na Impreza, or a unique clutch (data from Excedy/Daikin)

Because Subaru is/used to be part of Fuji Heavy Industries. The same company Nissan gets to make a bunch of parts, including the diffs and IIRC steering rack.Lots of AWD subarus use the almost worthless R160's though

and if they used the same diff, then you could grab the gears out of one, maybe

i think i remember the CA diff ratio being higher than teh SR and KA ones ..... and i left my damn diff in japan *stupid*

but may be able to recover with one from a subaru then (i have a torsen helical LSD< just want to use the CA gear ratio

while having the higher ratio is desirable, a R180 isn't. you'd want a R200 ring/pinion for the higher ratio (4.363 (CA) vs 4.08 (SR/KA))

why go for this option when you can get a clutch of the shelf to suit?

quicker less hassles andsd you know it will work properly
