how do you guys have your subs setup? im used to hatch backs or like my cavalier i just had the whole rear seat down and there was a huge box. my sub is a ma audio pro series 12 with 1400watt legacy amp on it in a single bandpass box and i cant hear the thing. i know its working if i open the trunk. its currently set facing the pass thru.

well its there and it makes some noise but not the boom boom it used to. im thinking maybe the direction of the sub + the superior factory sound deadening is taking it down?

mine is just in my boot not even facing the cabin and i hear it fine...

i have a alpine s10 facing the trunk and it sounds good.

it might be the box or the you arent giving the needed rms for the sub even with a big amp.

Check your wiring? I've had subs facing the back of the seat and also facing the rear and in each case it worked well.

it was the wiring. i had the pos and neg reversed with a new wire i was using. i had everything turned up and when i switched them i almost knocked myself out lol. tried it both ways in the trunk and kept it facing away from the cabin. sounds good now.

That's called having it 180 degrees out of phase. It will definitely remove most of your bass.
