Hey guys, I was wondering any common problems with the stiding seatbelts in the 89-94 240sx. Mine have recently started going really slow, not sure if its from the cold or what. Everytime my friends open the door to get in the car they usually hit their heads! ROFL Its funny as hell cause they never learn, but still they are very annoying. Let me know if you guys have had the same problem, or what could be causing them to go so slow. Thank you in advanced for any suggestions.

All Nissan seatbelts should be under a LIFETIME MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY and should be able to be repaired FREE OF CHARGE for the LIFE OF THE VEHICLE as far as i know. I have the automatic seatbelts and 2 years ago the local dealer replaced the drivers side motor free of charge. There is also a button upgrade, but i cant remeber if its front or rear seatbelts. Call your local dealerships service department and ask.

My seatbelt was moving slowly.. then it would just randomly stop, or not move at all.. and now it is totaly dead. Thanks for the info about the dealer. I'll give them a call.

Yes the whole engine has a lifetime warranty. Next time something on your car breaks take it to the dealer, demand it be fixed, or you will report them to the better business bureau.

yeah my seatbelts quit working in my 91 240sx in Nov of 2000. I called 1-800Nissan1 to verify the recall. I went to the dealership and they said it wasn't covered. I called 1-800 again. Went back to dealership and they were being the biggest buttheads. I told them if i wreck the car I am going to sue ther butts. I never get mad like that, but they were basically calling me a liar. Well i paid the car off in Jan of 2001 and that same damn week a pregnant women pulls out in front of me and i total the car. She was ok. Crappy lawyer didn't sue the dealership. Still makes me mad. So if yours doesn't work and the dealership won't fix it get a lawyer and don't waste your time like I did. BTW that was my first car. Got her feb 18 of 94(my senior year in h.s.).
