Alright, I've been trying to remove the harmonic balancer from my engine for the past two days. The thing is STUCK, yes I got the bolt and washer. I've broken two bolts and the threads pulled out of the balancer. At this point it's trash, so I drilled and tapped two new holes to pull on. Same thing broke another bolt and pulled the threads out. I've heated it, used pb blaster, tapped the puller bolt, used every trick I know, won't budge. Any ideas or am I going to have to take it to someone with a press? Also, can I get the crank out with the balancer on or is the oil pump not removable with it on. Thanks!

If the balancer is trash, get a 3 jaw puller and just go to town. It will rip apart the outer ring, but you will eventually have a solid part to pull from. Worst case, cut it off.

Yes, the oil pump can only come off with the balancer off.

I was considering cutting it off, I just don't want to nick the crank snout. I'll try the 3 jaw first and go from there. Thanks for the reply.
