strut tower bolts

has anyone had this problem,i was putting my springs and stuts on and i finished the job but when i went to tighten one of thestrut mounting bolts on my strut towerthe stud started spinning with the nutneedless to say i cant tighten it.it is just one of the three but i feelits not safe to let it stay that way.my question is .can this be fixed?do i need to buy a new part?if so what is that part called?ist the part that sits on top of the upper spring platewith the three bolt sticking up.thanks in advance.

Im not really sure on this, as i hav'nt started playing with the suspension yet. If the stud is pressed in, and it came loose, you will have to get it re-pressed. Otherwise you may just have to get someone to help you buy wrenching down one end, while you tighten the nut. Hope that helps!While it MIGHT be ok to drive with only 2 studs tightened, i wouldnt, that third stud is there for a reason.Ill go look at it later and answer your question for sure, unless somebody else answers your question first.

thanks,i have driven it to work and back (about 2 miles)but itake it really easy. but i do want to fix or replace it.
