Anyone know if this has ever been done or if there are any kits to raise the displacement?

The KA already has a long stroke to begin with... I personally wouldn't want to raise it further cause it would make you lose RPMs spent in boost. I would however look to increase the bore.

stroking the ka is not usually a very good idea..it's already overstroked(limiting revs). I don't know if anyone makes a kit, the best way to do it prolly is by boring.

Err, Why cant we EDIT our Post's anymore? Anyways, you could drop a bunch of cash and make a crank custom made for you.

Yeah I didn't think about the fact that it already had a good stroke, but you can't gain a lot of displacement by boring one. Or can you?

i am in the process of buiding my ka22de. fully counterweighted crankshaft as well. It will be like the medium fj that was never built. I really wish there was a nissan oem rod that was 170-175mm and used the l, z series journal width and diameter, i can only wish.

oh and i have a ka 2.5l in my car right now.

Ya you can gain plenty...and the KA has a cast iron block so you don't have to worry about sleeving..

91.1mm bore, although the ka is a cast block, the bore are not siamesed and a few passages come very close to the walls. I would not suggest going over 91mm, and thats on a na application, if your wanting to go turbo dont even think of it. This engine is a test so i have been running it very very hard, also running 10.6:1 cr. It has passed with flying colors so if anyone wants a 10.5-10.6:1 high compression 2502cc build let me know. I cant wait till i have my 2.2 under the hood
