yah i was thinking bout it but i dont know how itll it sound. do you notice any thing different since you went with straight pipe because ppl say it isnt that good to go with itdoi wrote:hey whats up man i did the straight pipe on my 3.5 it sounds good. where u thinking about doing it?
didnt mehdi say that it wasnt any good and he fixed it shortly after.Hussain wrote:you guys do know you can go straight piped for free right? about a year ago i talked about it and no one paint attention but now mehdi just posted a thread about it the other day in the coupe specific section.... go look at your exhaust pipe and you will see a flange with 2 bolts. take off those bolts and stick a flat head screw driver in there and open it up.... its straight piped and you can just bolt it back up when ever you want..... i have a 3.5se and it is HELLA LOUD and if i have my windows UP, it rattles the s*** out of everything in the car.... has a nice sound though. i never looked under a 2.5s but i'd assume it has the same thing....
where exactly is the flange with the 2 bolts?Hussain wrote:go look at your exhaust pipe and you will see a flange with 2 bolts. take off those bolts and stick a flat head screw driver in there and open it up....
LOL, mutiny! my butt dyno never lies!Hussain wrote:not to dis mehdi or anything but he didnt know what he was talking about...
Get yourself some PB Blaster. It never fails me.Oilsink wrote:yea its a pain in the a** to unbolt the exhaust.. ive tried and one of my bolts are like 1/2 stripped.... anyone have any trouble unbolting it besides me??
PB Blaster FTMFW!!!I just sprayed a little on there, waited for about five minutes, then took the socket wrench to it...came off like a breeze! I was surprised with how good it sounded. Really deep and somewhat burbly...not ricey by any stretch of the imagination. The only problem is that it's LOUD!!! Either way, I'm getting a local shop to fab up a y-pipe right after the flange and put in a pair of straight pipes on Monday...Loop wrote: Get yourself some PB Blaster. It never fails me.
Yup. Straight pipe = no muffler...lilojoj wrote:what do you guys mean by straight piped? do you guys just have no mufflers?
