thing is, both 2.5s and 3.5se have MORE then enough power for daily driving if its stock or straight piped. only difference is that straight piped is faster for racing.
A word of caution while using your exhaust cut-out.
Actually three words: Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.
Since the exhaust is not exiting at the rear of the car, exhaust fumes may enter the interior, and poison you and your passengers.
Automotive engines emit several types of pollutants, including carbon monoxide.
What is carbon monoxide? Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. It is a product of incomplete burning of hydrocarbon-based fuels, and is a by product of the internal combustion engine.
Why is Carbon Monoxide Dangerous?
When carbon monoxide is inhaled, it passes from the lungs into the hemoglobin molecules of red blood cells. This causes interference with the oxygen transport and gas exchange abilities of the red blood cells. The result is that the body becomes oxygen-starved, which can result in tissue damage and death. Low levels of carbon monoxide poisoning cause symptoms similar to those of the flu or a cold, including shortness of breath on mild exertion, mild headaches, and nausea. Higher levels of poisoning lead to dizziness, mental confusion, severe headaches, nausea, and fainting on mild exertion. Ultimately, carbon monoxide poisoning can result in unconsciousness, permanent brain damage, and death.
To be safe, keep your windows open while driving with your exhaust cut-out open.
To really be safe, consider installing one of these in the interior of your car:
