is it possible to run 264 cams on the stock valve train?

as long as the cams are meant for hydraulic lifters and not solid ones :P

The cams can be used in either configuration. You can take a 272 camshaft with a 9mm lift and use on the stock CA's drive train. Anything above this and you will need to have the head heavily machined for camshaft clearance.

you can't run 10.5mm lift cams with the stock lifters - well i am sure you can try, but will KILL the lifters... and Dee is correct my 260's 8.8mm's barely cleared the head...
