Hello all, I just bought an 04' G35X last week, it came with the factory bose system and sirius radio. My question, does anyone have a problem with the Satellite radio cutting out frequently (always aquiring station). I had sirius in my previous vehicle and didn't have this problem in the area. I called sirius and they said to check the antenna wire/connection?? Other than this I am very pleased with the new purchase...

Welcome to NICO!

I doubt its the connection. If it does it in the same spot, then you're in a dead zone. Perhaps the G's antenna isn't as strong as your previous vehicle. I have XM, and it cuts out every now and then too-in specific spots.

I doubt if it is your antenna? I have a 2006 G35 Sedan 6sp manual with Sirius. Here in Central NJ there are a few locations where I lose the signal for a few seconds every time I pass by these locations. It is unfortunate that these expensive radios do not have a built in signal strength indicator such as is in the cheaper portable Sportster models? The Sirius in the G35 also does not scroll the Channel number, song title and artist as does the Sportster.Being up in Maine, perhaps the signal is affected by mountains, trees, or Polor Bears, etc?

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to live with it...

I have the same issue with mine. I have XM in my Yukon and eveything works perfectly, all the time. I asked my dealer about this and he said that Sirius does not have repeaters as does XM so when you hit tunnels or dead spots, it going to die. Sorry, hopefully when Sirius and XM finalize their merge, we won't have that issue anymore.
