Props to another Midwestern G owner. Sorry about your red birds, I was hoping for a rematch of the I-70 showdown. Although the Chiefs do play the Rams at Arrowhead next week...

Fair enough, thanks for the reminder. Life caught up with me for a couple months but I have a lot of photos and such to add here. It will take some time to get them uploaded to a photo sharing website and write all the captions. Give me about 7 days. It should be a good distraction from all the family Christmas activities.

Naturally, the BOSE audio in this car is terrible so I ended up gutting most everything. Its not finished, but it already sounds amazing compared to what I started with.

Hertz HSK 163 $560
Subwoofer box $175
Door Adapters $30
Rockford 360.3 $540
2 Rockford Amp Kits $164
UR1 Amp Knob $20
Massive Audio NX5 $285
Alpine PDX-V9 $485
Alpine RUX-KNOB $25
Alpine SWR-T12 $296
CL-69SUB $120
Speaker wire and Battery terminal $38

Total: $2740

Items not finished:
1. I have not mounted the Rockford volume control or individual amp knobs yet.

2. I am currently running the factory front BOSE speakers off of the amps because I don't have the HSK 163 or CL-69SUB installed yet. Hopefully I will get that done in the next couple of weeks. I accomplished this by hooking some of the factory Bose speakers in series where the resistance was too low for the AMP. Here are the measurements I took for each factory BOSE speaker lead at the amp in the trunk:
(Currently Misplaced will update tomorrow)

Here are some tools I purchased for this project.

2 x 4 Ga Amp wires run through boot above passenger wheel well near battery. Boot sealed using silicone to prevent leakage. Then run under passenger side trim.

Wiring comes in through center of trunk, around midback height of the back seat.

Some issues/concerns I had:

1. Overheating - So far i haven't had any issues from overheating, but truth wont be known until next summer comes around.
2. The only volume control is now through the 360.3, I lost all volume control at the main factory head unit and steering wheel. This is because the pre-out that I tapped into before the BOSE amp does not change levels.
3. Power supply, the factory battery/alternator seem to be able to supply plenty of juice. I haven't had any issues whatsoever. The 12 rocks hard and the rest of the (albeit BOSE) speakers are singing pretty damn good with these new amps pushing them.

After-thoughts
Some money could have been saved at the door, after using these factory BOSE speakers running on the aftermarket amps I think I would have been satisfied just replacing the BOSE 10's in each door with 6.5"s to get the lower mid range. The highs from the 3" mid and tweet in the door are clean and crisp and handle the power of the amps with no problem.
