I volunteerZerep wrote:well that depends on how you handle your tools srry had to. yes you can, and i wonder what intake header exhuast would do to this car i mean how much of difference will this make in 0-60 numbers we need a manual 2.5 to get on a dyno with full bolt ons
We can definitely offer a ceramic coating finish but that would cost more. To ceramic coat these figure around an extra $100.00 or so.mrodrig2 wrote:I have to say that this header (singular people, there's only one, the 2.5 doesn't have 'headers') is ugly. Can't they go the little extra step to have it polished or ceramic coated? Even the cheap ebay ones are.
I assure you, the welds are completely finished. We only use the welds on the outside as spot welds to keep the pipes and flange connected. The finished welds are actually on the inside of the flange. They are welded 360 degrees internally. you can not weld a header 360 degrees on the inside and the outside as that will not allow the metal to expand and contract during the heat cycle. Locking it in by welding around the inside and outside can and will cause cracks overtime.mikegtr06 wrote:
if you look at the welds to the flange ... they are not finished.. this prolly isnt a pic of the finished product... just something that they had laying around for the website.
but i dont know....

IMO most places would just make something that fits, and as soon as they have it, rush it into production...
Kudos to the guys at Stillen for their development!
Thats some great custom work there.marlin29311 wrote:Psh, who needs Stillen Headers when you can make your own!!!!

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to come off as a smart a$s. But I do have a very sarcastic sense of humor, I didn't mean to be cracking a joke or anything I was just stating, I do that a lot and not notice it and I apologizemrodrig2 wrote:Don't be a smartass. I understand grammar.
Please say your kidding....this "fab" is creating the worst exhaust leak I've ever seen...TurboSauce wrote:

i guess i will figure out what kinda cutting you are talking about when i attempt to install the header but is this mod the end of the road? Can i go back to stock next august to pass inspection/emissions.kyle@stillen wrote:
By supplying you guys with that little slip joint it allows you to simply cut off the rear section of your secondary B-pipes which is pretty thin wall tubing from the factory and will cut EASILY with a hacksaw.
Vehicles less than 5 years old do not require a test. I don't plan on having this car probably in 5 years so no e-test for meJIBRIL4life wrote:hey Sean hate to burst your bubble, we have E-test on your B-day and car is 6 years old.
