I'm considering replacing my muffler witn a Stillen model. The problem is that the car already has a hitch and I was wondering if any member has tried this combination

Welcome to NICO! The Stillen muffler goes in the stock location so I would imagine that it would not interfere with the stock hitch. On a side note, I wouldn't really recommend towing with a Versa considering it only has 109hp at the crank and 107 ft-lbs of torque. You can do a lot more harm than good.

The problem I'm expecting is that the original muffler has no real tail pipe, just a small elbow pointing downward while the Stillen have one that might interfere with the contour brace aftermarket hitchs usually have. As for towing capability, it will just be used to hold a bike rack.

I have never seen a Versa with a Hitch. Here are a couple of pics of my Stillen muffler. It hangs on the factory mounting points with no modifications. I hope this helps.

Thanks AJVersa. I cannot pm you but could you post me the distance between the bottom of the tail pipe and the bumper itself. I'll be able to see if the offset in the hitch bracket is enough make room for the tail pipre. Thanks

As this pictures shows, the tip hangs 4 1/4" below the underside of the bumper.

I've install the hitch and it doesn't clear the 4 ¼ needed for the Stillen. So I went with a solo-performance which has the same type of tail pipe than the original set-up. Thanks for your suggestions
