Hey All,

For those of you out there that have done an install, specifically, on the 3.5 version.....

I just got my shipment in and the exhaust from Stillen came in with a resonator. The stock exaust (of course) doesn't have one. Before I get carried away and pull things apart, I wanted to check if this is a mistake and what I have received is the 2.5 version.

It's a Cat Back of course.

Any ideas, please advise,-- Wind

go to the local dealer and order 2 hangers (you can reference the 2.5 exhaust system). Combined they cost me $6.33. I just had to wait 2 days to get them

Hey Mikey,

Thanks for the follow-up. I really got confused, only wish is that Stillen explained this up front, or even charged me $6.33 more for the hangers as part of the kit.

Bummer, going to have to wait to install.

Thanks again,-- Wind

When it was called to their attention, they said they were going to look in to it. I sure hope they provide them in future kits as i feel that it is necessary to complete the install.

From what we've heard, Stillen has commented that the "pre-production" altima coupe is what they used to model their exhaust system after, and the pre a/c apparently had a resonator on it.

Yeah its a little bit of a bummer, but at least its only $6.33

I'm really surprised that this is an issue. Stillen is usually very good about customer service and I would have expected them to fix this issue after those of us who bought early informed them of the problem. It is a very small issue that is easy for the customer to fix but it isn't something the customer should have to do. Kind of disappointing to hear....

Hey Mikey,

Do you by chance have the part number for the hangers. Get this, I called the Stealership, got the parts department, asked for the part.

Their answer:

Need the VIN, can't look up the part without the VIN Number.

Of course, it's kind of hard to look up a VIN you don't have .....

Tell them they clearly don't know what they are doing and call another dealer! The A/C has been out for sale for less then 1 year. How could there be VIN variations in the exhaust already?
