ok well last night checked for fuel spark and reinstalled the timing belt back on and still not start. while im trying to start it, sometimes it will backfire through the intake. I know that doesnt sound very good. but im not really sure what to do. Is there anything else that would not make it start, as far as electrical ( cas, dropping resistor) If someone could give me some more options as far as what to do. Im jsut really stumped and dont know waht to do. Tonight ill be doin a compression check. Ill post the results later tonight. thanks

I don't think it's a mechanical engine problem, but you can check your compression anyways. Sounds like your ecu is not too happy. As usual, check all wiring more than once. Too many people on thiss forum are smoking their ecus because they've either missed a step or two or don't know what in the hell they are doing.

you could try adjusting your cas. When I first tried to start mine up, it would only crank and then backfire. We toyed with the cas a little bit and then sure enough, it fired right up.

Back firing through the intake usually a sign of incorrect timing, double check your timing belt, to make sure you installed correctly.

If you have to adjust the CAS to the max from one end to another to get it to start or sounds about to starts, your timing belt is off few teeth.

Good luck,RafiPULSAR GTR
