My fellow 720 lovers,

I have a problem with my 85 KC that when i accelerate off and clutch in to change gears the revs seem to have a delay in them to come back to idle? like the accelerator is sticking? could it be that the idle spring is worn or the accelerator spring is worn? I dont know a whole lot about the engine sides of things so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated :)

Go under the hood, and play with the throttle by hand. Take a visual look to see exactly what is happening ie: worn spring etc. If everything is returning properly, my guess would be something carb related causing and excess of fuel to be left burnt after you let off.
