Stereo Upgrade

So spring is here, and I think it is time I upgrade the sound in my V..

I already know what deck I want, but have no idea what amp/sub to buy, I have somewhere in the $300 range for the amp and the sub, any suggestions, I know its not a lot, but I'm on a budget

I'm looking for more something to play r&b, and techno. So a nice BOOM sounds would be cool.

Any suggestions?

You don't want to upgrade your speakers? Even though a subwoofer is nice, they do not play the majority of the sound that you listen to and can really overpower the stock speakers.

Just yesterday, I installed my subwoofer (FI Q 15") and amp (Audioque 1200D). Even though it is really nice, it really overpowers the speakers. Tomorrow, I am going to buy my component speakers (rainbow 265.25 SLC Kicks) from a local dealer.

Are you going to build the box yourself or are you going to buy an already made one? Based on your music, I would assume you are going to want a ported enclosure. If you do get a ported enclosure, I would recommend you get it custom built for the subwoofer you are looking for.
