Sounds like you need to get your wheels re-balanced.

Sounds like you didn't get a wheel alignment when you put on your new rims. Go to the mechanic and get that done and you should be fine!

You should always try and get an alignment when you install new tires or rims, especially if you're going up in wheel size. Be careful out there going home. Having your wheels shake while your driving at high speeds can be dangerous, plus you'll have poorer MPG and more tire wear than normal.

I didnt have any problem with my steering wheel shaking after I got my new rims. However, when i got my tires rotated (after 5,000 miles with my new rims and tires) i noticed that my wheel was shaking at +60mph so I went and got my wheels balance but the steering wheel was still shaking. So then i went back to the mechanic and he said that it was probably due to irregular tread wear and put my rims and tires where it was before i got it rotated in the first place, and everything went back to normal, no steering wheel shaking or nothing just wasted $50 though .

Sorry for writing a whole novel just thought I might share my story and tell you it might be due to irregular tread wear lol.
