I have a strange steering fluid leak.. (1991 300zx TT, 60,000 miles)

If I run the car, topped off with fluid, it does not leak while the car runs. The Steering fluid holds, and the system runs perfectly. However, If I park it, the system will start to leak all over my garage. I brought it to my Z mechanic and he was stumped. He put it up on the lift, cleaned everything, and ran it for 3 hours but couldn't find a leak. I told him to shut off the car, and it eventually started leaking. He said he didn't have an answer, that he had never seen this before but his best guess was to replace the rack. But even then, he was not sure.

Has anyone run into this?

Mine was the low pressure return line on top of the rack loose. Tightened it and no more leak
