alright, so i recently noticed when my car is running and i press the gas (even just barely) i here a hissing/static sound that sounds like it could be coming from the rear speakers. It is vary faint and only happens when im on the gas. as soon as i release my foot from the gas petal it stops. i have a sub and amp installed but the speakers are stock. it happens whether the radio is on or off. is it possible that its my fuel pump im hearing and does anyone else have this problem?

You are hearing the alternator.

One thing you should do with your deck and amp, is check your power and ground wires.

I am not too sure what you can do to eliminate this. A voltage stabilizer may help, as would a capacitor for your amp.

This is not going to cause any issues, it is just annoying.

This.

Also, check behind your radio (if you have an aftermarket deck) to see if they installed a "Bose conversion" box thing. That's what was causing that issue for me. It was basically bypassing the ground for some unbeknown reason to me.

Check your amplifiers....i had the hissing sound too and i adjusted my amp and checked all the wiring and it ceased. they also sell some sort of filter if im not mistaken. your local stereo shop should know about this.......

If you smell gas in the morning it's because you need to check your fuel line connections one or two need tightened up.. The cold makes them come loose..

An as for the static sound rjmancia they make a noise reduction for radio's.. If you have a Walmart there just look in the stereo department...

It could be your alternator on it's way out. If it's aftermarket stereo, make sure to run the RCA cables and power cables on opposite sides of the car so they are as far apart as possible.
