I hate them! I dont mean to rant and rave because no one likes to just read other people venting, but oh my gosh! I was pulled over on a local highway today for doing 6 MPH over the speed limit! 6 MPH! I was going 61 in a 55. There were 2 cars infront of me doing the same speed and another few cars behind as well! The cop pulled out behind all of us and when we all pulled to the side he stopped right infront of me and waved everyone else on! I was livid to say the least!

He was an *** from the start! yelling at me for endangering others and what not! I have never met a city or county cop that i didnt like but it seems that every state patrolman is a jackass! What is the deal?

I'm sure he pulled me over because i drive a bright color sportscar... but that just makes even more mad. why do i deserve a ticket anymore than the 40 year old man behind me in a honda civic doing the same speed?

At least i got off without a ticket... I was as polite as possible and just responded to everything with short yes or no answeres (even though i wanted so badly to scream at this mother F***er!)

Has anyone else had something like this go on?

Awe man I was reading that story like a good novel waiting to hear that you slapped the piss out of him and they carried you off in cuffs and a friend had to come out to get your Z. Then I read and I quote "At least i got off without a ticket". WHAT I nearly pinched a loaf in my draws. Thats wrong, so wrong.

Now on the other hand I always get the ticket I just ask the cop stupid questions while he is writing the ticket. And I always walk away saying the same thing: "God bless you Sir, I hope you have a wonderful day." Then I drive faster to my f&^ckin lawyers office and hand it to him and say:"God bless you Sir, I hope you have a wonderful day."

This has nothing to do with the story and is completley irrelevant but eye feel like telling it anyway, a friend of mine's co-worker had his day to go get his license from the DMV so he decided to dress up as a Reverend (all black with the white collar and bible in one hand). He said when he had arrived there a good amount of people where letting him pass to reach the front.

He took the test and passed and had his picture done :::time passsed and he got pulled over a few times for speeding, every time he was pulled, the cop would let him go without any ticket.

How beast is that, and on his license picture you can see his Reverend collar.

I'll be sure to do that next time..

Meh happened once a week in town when I had my Camaro. Bright red with dark tint, loud exhaust and a system....I just got used to it. The moment you get a bright colored sports car, you're screwed. Last night I was driving the exact same speed next to some guy in a blue civic si, all riced out. Cop pulled him over and not me in my G. Just a way of life, get used to it.

It sucks a$$ though and is ridiculous.

the staties here are exactly the same way.... they call it the "NO Fault System".... clowns - the only police work they get is pulling people over, they go easy on the drunks letting them swerve on by, but god forbid if your doing 56 in a 55 construction zone....

a lot of time cops are mean just to get you scared. They don't actually like giving tickets. Its too much paperwork and they hate having to work overtime to make a court appearance if you wish to appeal the ticket. They actually HAVE to go to court to witness your appeal. Cops are people like you and me, simply doing their job. Don't get me wrong tho, I hate police...but they are usually really chill guys just earning a living. My neighbor is a cop and told me all of this two weeks ago when i got pulled over for off-roading on a park past dawn (there was no one there). They cop told me i might be getting a summons in the mail...my neighbor said that he says that all the time just to scare you out of doing it again, as do all the rest. Just be polite, scared, and nervous and youll be off the hook every time ;].

If by EM1 you mean the crappy a$$ body style before the current gen, then yes I believe so. A spanish looking guy was driving it.

I know the feeling, I have been living in Northern Virginia for the last 5 years. I am repeatedly followed every time I get onto a main street or highway. In all honesty, I understand where they are coming from, because there are a lot of stupid drivers in No. VA. In addition, if you do get pulled over in No. Va go to court, the judges are extremely nice. Just DO NOT B.S them.

I got yelled at too when I got pulled over for doing over 100mph, but it's okay- he didn't give me a ticket. After a good outburst from the cop he ended with..."If you have prior speeding tickets you're going to jail, but if your record is clear I will let you go." I nearly jumped for joy. (I was in a slammed 96 Sentra)

A cop can lecture me all he wants, as long as I don't get a ticket.

Blacksmoke, thats not fair, not all of us have connections

+1 dude, it always works for me. Its all about power. Let the cops have the power and behave like a scared squirrel, and you will be fine. There is a lot to be learnt from squirrels.
