Well its basically like this..

The other day, i drove my car to work like any normal day. No issues starting at all and then when it was time to get off work, I go to start my car and nothing.

I have power, and I have fuel, but when I turn the key to start there is absolutely nothing, no noise or anything but all lights and gauges work and I hear the fuel pump. It jut doesnt want to activate the starter.

I have checked fuses under the dash and under the hood, all seem to be fine, nothing burnt out.

I was supposed to be selling my car to a friend and this happens 2 days before im supposed to and thats really a bad sign.

Any ideas? Somewhere there must be something cutting off the power to the ignition/starter. Completely dumbfounded on this. Would the cars built in security system have anything to do with this? My security light is flashing on the dash, is there some fuses or something that I may have done?

I just dont understand, worked completely fine and has been till i tried to go home. :wtf2:

Bad starter relay. Located inside the fender liner for the wheel-well. If it's good, should be able to hear it click.

Hey Z_Owner, just wondering if you found a solution to this situation? My problem is identical even down to the part of shutting off at work!
RubyRed300zx, I can hear my starter relay in the fender make a clickingredients sound.

I read a post where someone mentioned corrosion on the power wire to the starter, but I have power there (accidentally touched metal to metal and got a huge spark).
I pulled relays and will check them.
Still trying to get more understanding about the NSS. Any suggestions?

Could be Bad battery connection. Clean the connection off the negative to the firewall, make sure terminals are clean and tight

Had this problem after a few weeks of owning mine, thought the battery had gave up, but it was just the connections on terminals were loose

Just wanted to touch base with an update on why my car would not start and the solutions:
The built-in wire on the starter that looks like a hook was corroded, along with the post that it connects to.
The aftermarket kill switch went bad someplace so I disconnected that as well.
The wire harness that mounts on the passenger-side of the cams dropped into the belt area and was "eaten away" as the belt rubbed against it. The timing was bad once I fixed the first two problems and drove it home. It died in the garage.
Once the wiring was cleaned and re-connected, it went back to her original performance.

Hopes this info helps someone else out there.
