Friend of mine has a 2007 sentra & it cut off while driving. Some instrument lights came on, she pulled over, all lights went out. Couldnt get key out. No power to anything except a security light blinking. Searched engine bay & found the 225 amp fusible link on the positve side of the battery was blown. the one closest toward the front of the car. This will blow any time we attempt to start the vehicle. Resulting in thinking there is a short. Searching this site, I cannot find any useful info on this issue. Found some info with google & another forum stated alternator or starter. Disconnected alternator & problem still occurs. Cant really disconnect starter & check... am leaning toward starter replacement. Anyone run into a similar issue?

EDIT: Completely stock car - no mods.

A little more research with alldata resulted in... the 225 amp fuse goes to the starter & alternator. Also branches to a 100a fusible link & 60a fusible link - those are still intact. Only fuse blown on the positvie terminal is the 225a link.

EDIT: Tested with 8ga jumper wire. All systems normal. Was hard to start but worked fine once started.
Replaced the positve battery terminal with the fusible link & no more problems. Hope it doesnt happen again. Something must have tripped that fuse... Cross the fingers.
