My starter just kicked the bucket. I'm looking for places where I can get a new one. I went to Autozone and they got one for 129.99 by Duralast with lifetime warr.. Then, there are rebuilt ones on ebay by Beck and Arnley for 75 +shipping. Any one know of other places that I can get a GOOD starter from?

If it was me, I'd go with the AutoZone starter... it is expensive, but it comes with a lifetime warrenty. A couple of my friends hed the starters go out in their Honduh's (go figure :rolleyes), and that's what they replaced them with.

Yank the starter and get it repaired at an alternator & starter place. It cost me 25 bucks canadian (~15 US) to get the brushes replaced. Has worked fine since (about three years and counting).

There has got to be a starter/alternator shop somewhere in houston. If lil' ol' st. pete, FL has 3 of them, then I'm sure you must have one or two at least.

i had to change my starter 3 days ago.. :Dgo for the autozone one.. it's ur better option, however, if you have a friend or acquaintace that is a mechanic, try and ask if you can get a rebuilt starter for a better price. a lifetime warranty is not important if it's rebuilt, a starter is good for @ least 200K kms so nothing to worry about.also, install it yourself, it's pretty simple and saves you $.good luck

Autozone can put whatever type of warranty they want on their stuff, but I get to replace a ton of it. :)
