I've searched for this but I haven't found a direct answer. Will putting a SRI on my coupe void my extended warranty? I don't mean like a fujita or k&n. I'm buying the k&n filter, but i'm going to put it on there an get a flange or something to hold it in place.

No it will not, the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act will require the dealer to prove that the malfunction was directly responsible from your modification. Always fight the dealer and bring that up.

Now that being said, if your MAF shi*s the bed, then you are screwed as you have to relocate it to your intake pipe.

I wasn't sure if that was for like an actual intake kit, or the DIY cheap method that i'm about to do. I just wanted to make sure tho.

Can you explain what you mean by the shi*s the bed? I don't quite understand.

Okay so first of all I'm guessing your talking about a short ram intake.. No this will not void you warranty. UNLESS the dealer can prove that whatever happened to your car was directly caused from the intake.. Same goes for any other mod.

Second, are you talking about making your own intake? Why not just buy one thats from a reputable company instead of risking all the things that could go wrong by making one, and from what I can tell I'm not exactly sure you know what your talking about. If you only want the filter just go out and buy the drop in filter that works with the stock intake.

<shrug> its only like 250, can proly pick one up from a member here lightly used for like 100-150 dude, so not worth the effort to half-a** one just to have it potentially void ur engine.

That's kind of expensive an I don't see many people selling their intakes heh. I guess i'll just hold off on it. My brother was going to help who knows what he's doing. He doesn't want to do it now because the MAF is directly connected to the box an he doesn't feel like taking all that time, to redo it.

Follow this link for a home emade intake. Likely the same results as one ten times the price

I was going to do that, but I would have to cut the air box, an if I need it for whatever reason I would be screwed. I will just wait to see if someone eventually sells or buy it when I have the money.
