sr20det oil filter

i recently purchased 3 oil filters from west covina nissan (part #15208-53j00)i have been using the stock oem filter (part #15207-55Y00)the thread sizes are the same its just the physical size is different (im guessing since the sr20det is a 1.8 and the ka a 2.4)will there be less filtering b/c of the smaller filter or should i be ok?
