OK situation is 89 S13 with SR20DET and NEO afc.. 8 months ago I started this project (Car was running fine) I mounted the ECU (It was dangling from PO) and a small white connector with aprox. 8 wires in it (All wires connected with crimp connectors) 2 of these wires pulled out, they are all color matching though (Red to red, black to black, yellow to yellow) so I put the two wires that pulled out back together with blue to blue and yellow to yellow. I rear mounted my battery at the same time I did paint, suspension and FMIC. + wire runs straight to starter, - wire is grounded on seat belt bolt.
Now I try and get the car running I get power to my dash, it lights up, shows half tank of fuel, and the door dingger dings. however, fuel pump doesn't kick on, NEO doesn't turn on, and starter don't turn.. its like half of the ECU is off.
I figure the ground on the battery and wiring of it is OK since the dash works. I thought maybe those 2 wires that pulled out of their crimp connectors were supposed to be wired backwards, and I tried that with no changes..
I found a 10 amp fuse blown in the kick panel fuse block but replacing that didn't change anything.
When I go back to the engine bay trying to see if there is possibly a grounding problem, I cant seem to find the old Negative batter cable anywhere. Is there something I should be grounding up front of the car?
Just seems weird to me that the dash comes on but seems like the ECU doesn't.
thanks for any help in advance..
