just had my sr20 rebuilt but when i got back from the shop it was falling on its face i looked and the bolt was missing from the cam sensor i put one it and it fixed but its still not exactly right and i know thats the reason how far should the sensor be turned???

take the cam sensor out and on the end their are 2 dots and line them up one in front of the other and put it back in. you may also need to set cylinder 1 at tdc. the second notch to the right (which means there is only 1 dot to the left) on the harmonic balancer, line it up with the little prong that sticks out over top of the hb. that should put it back in time.
