The hot pipe is way too long. I don't know if it's just because it's the SR hotpipe, but I think it's because of the manifold. I'm having it shortened today. We'll see how it goes. I also accidentally ordered an S13 FMIC kit so the cold pipe is way off. Grrr. I've had less trouble rebuilding the motor than I had since I re-installed it. I did jury rig it with just the cold pipe and the MAFS stuck on the end and got it started, but it's running like crap. I think it's electrical, but I don't know for sure yet. Has anybody tried to start their CA w/o the O2 sensor hooked up? I didn't how picky the ECU was about getting a signal from it...

strange, why would it be in a different position? that would mean the exhaust wouldn't fit either.

no its not the manifold, its the HOT PIPE! I have posted this numerous times that an SR pipe is too long... I tried both an Enjuku one and a Cusco one, both were about 2 inches too long (on the stock manifold). Ryan doesn't seem to pay attention very well

and the car should start and run fine with the o2 sensor unplugged... mine does at least. It doesn't run great like that, but it does run and drive.

Sorry Sean, I'm a bad, bad little monkey. Will you spank me? I mean.... Uh... I was just kidding, seriously.

I'm working again on it tomorrow night. I have to get a test pipe on it before I start it again though. The neighbors came over and complained last time. Oops

Everything else fits perfectly. I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't really think it was the mani's fault. All of my coolant and oil lines fit perfectly, no clearance problems with my 3" fly'n dumpipe. My apex N1 Single doesn't line up right, but I don't think it has to do with the dumpipe I'm using. I'm just cutting and rewelding the test pipe.

Yea, I drove it for the first time tonight. Somehow I didn't get my timing belt right and I was running about 10*ATDC. I'm suprised that it started or ran. But I got that fixed and it seems alright now. I think I've got a stuck lifter so I may have to get a new set, but thats not major work. I threw some vac lines on it tonight and hooked up my SOHC intake and started it and drove it. That CA isn't too bad of a motor in NA form really. It's a little gutless down low, but the butterflys are just running open so that's got something do with it. It revs real nice with the lightweight flywheel too. I'm ready for the turbo though....
