first thanks in advance for all the help
second i have searched the forum in here and the sr one but still no fix (i hope its not the clutch) :/

this is the problem just dropped my sr in and went for a test drive....noticed the clutch engaged at the top of the pedal still just wanted to see what happened before i messed with it...turned on the street engaged fine untill boost then major slipping...as in slips as soon as there is any load
got to the house searched on here....adjusted my pedal rod counter clock wise which brought the engagment point closer to the floor but the pedal only moves a few inches now....rebleed the system at the slave cylinder and tried again. same problem just it engages closer to the floor....

my question is what am i doing wrong? is there something else i should check? i dont want to pull the trans. without trying everything else first.

again thanks

UPDATE!!!
another thing it might be is i used a 91 ka slave cylinder that had a push rod...it had to fight it to get it on....is this the wrong slave cylinvder?

Brand new clutch? Did you follow the break in procedure? Rear main seal good?

its the clutch that came with the motor and i just got it in....finished doing all the research and the only difference between the slaves cylinders is the older style has 1/16 smaller cup size but the push rods are exactly the same so its not that....im going to take the slave cylinder off and start the car in 1st gear just to make sure its the clutch...but im sure the system is bleed out correctly...guess i should of listened when someone told me to check the clutch before putting it in :/

Don't sweat it man, I had to do the same thing on my car when my clutch let go on me, put the car on cinder jack stands. Just be sure to have a friend or two to help you wiggle the transmission off.

Any machine shop can resurace it, but you need to know what te thickness is afterward so you can shim if needed. You also want new flyweel bolts, and a new pilot bushing

What about OEM clutch? Chances are if you go with cheap, it wont will fall apart sooner than later.

after doing some more research I found that it is claimed that the 89 nissan maxima clutch is the same as the sr20 one....does this hold any truth? becuase i can get a good oem clutch kit local for 130 then turn the flywheel for about 40-45

My friend got in touch with Tennessee clutch supply a while back and they do have good stuff. They quoted me around $200 for a 2jzgte stage 2 clutch. Definitely try to get one from them.
