Squeeling 300zx

i was driving my friend down to his dorm tonight, pulled into a spot and through the car in reverse it started squeeling. it had never squeeled before, sounds like belts... but it comes and goes... mainly comes when in low rpms... anyone have a idea of what belt needs to be fixed/ replaced?

threw the car in reverse? like going forward then BAM reverse?maybe some clutch component

na came to full stop befor putting it in reverseand its an auto...so na no clutch to worrie about hahah

Most likely the alternator belt, it's common if not adjusted properly. Adjust it soon or the belt will be no good.

ok so i got under my car yesterday and i can not believe what i foundit was the alternator belt that was loose... kinda it was more like the alternator that was loose its self, the top bolt that goes through the engine bock and hold the top of the alternator in was gone... luckily there was another 300 that my friend is parting out right there so i took the one off that and through it on and its all good now

i have no fricken idea where that bolt went haha... its fricken huge and just was there... wierd dude
