I was just wondering if anyone could point me toward a solution for a slight squeak sound that comes from the engine when I rev over 2500 RPM. My guess is timing belt but has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

if you have a 240, it's not your timing belt since you have a timing chain. i would check the fanbelts to see if they have oil on them, are tensioned properly, or are wearing out.

I had a similar problem. Does it sound like your engine fan is running at an extremely high RPM as well? Mine would do that and start a high frequency sqeak at around 2500 RPM. Problem was a burnt out fan clutch. Cheap fix, $120 or so.

Hope you find out what it is.
