squeaky brakes

i just bought a 73 240z. the brakes are starting to get squeaky. i bought new pads but come to find out the pads are in really good condition. it sounds like its coming from the passenger side. any suggestions whats causing it/eliminating the horrible noise. hahah go easy on me

Do your brakes work properly? if their just squeaking for no reason it could be because the brakes were not replaced with factory parts, or they just aren't of very good quality. my brakes in my 86 z31 make noises but and the pads are fine. not really sure why.

they work fine. its when i come to a stop theyre really loud. im going to try to clean them tomorrow and see if that helps

do the pads have anitsqueal on the backing plates? if not might want to add some

umm to be honest, i bought the car friday, so i dont know for sure. i think i now wat the problems is. the rotors on the right side are slightly rusted on it and the rotors arent square which i realized today looking at it. so im sure those arent helping. im just waiting for my next paycheck to upgrade...are the 300zx possible for the 240z or what are some other upgrades???
