Houston we have a problem! I have a Beautiful 1987 300zx that I just bought. It is not the turbo but n/a. Last night I was stuck in the snow and had to rev it up to get free. I maxed out at about 4000 rpms, after I got on the road it ran fine for a couple of minutes. Then it began sputtering and eventually cut off. The temp gauge went a little wacky then stabilized. I sat there for a few minutes then started her up and after a little with some coughing she began to run OK good enough to get home. This morning the same thing happened after about 20 min on the highway, she sputtered out. When I started her up again she ran rough the rest of the way to work. Upon arrrival there was a slight burnt smell, but not too strong. I just changed the oil so that's not it . Any suggestions are appreciated.

I doubt you getting stuck has anything to do with your problems, I suggest you pull the codes could be any number of things, more info will help us nail down the issue

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter or did a tune up?
