I hesitate to put this out there cause I know I'm going to get flamed, but it seems to me that this forum has become an Altima Coupe only forum, and has been for months. I haven't seen a posting from anyone driving a sedan, much less an older Altima. I think they've all been scared away. I drive an '06 sedan, and would feel somewhat unwanted if I ever posted a question on my ride.Maybe it's time to split this forum in 2, and have a Coupe only section. What say you, Mr. moderator?

Don't feel unwanted mang!!! Sedans are always welcome here. Generic is one of our most informative and productive members and he drives a sedan!

Perhaps its just that coupers are dominating because our cars are so new and exciting (to us) that we can't help but flood the forum.

I'm definitely not speaking for our moderators, but I'm sure they will echo my sentiments.

I think it seems that way right now because there is an influx of new members and it makes sense that they're coupe owners. I think that we can all be even more productive members if we stick together.

This has been discussed before, but as to what direction this forum will go is beyond me, so I can only give my opinion. It's really up to the powers that be to ultimately decide what happens. I feel the Altima section would benefit more if it stayed as one unit. Although there are a few active sedan posters, I don't feel there is enough to warrant a dedicated forum. I honestly think it wouldn't be very active at all, and this is coming from me who has been pretty active here for some time.

The two cars (sedan & coupe) share many things and are essentially the same cars, just asthetically different. If you have any engine problems with your 3.5 sedan, maybe someone with a 3.5 coupe had the same problem and also has a remedy for it. We can all help each other and learn from one another.

That's just how I feel about the whole situation. I know how you're feeling though because I'd say the ratio of A/C to A/S owners here is probably 12:1, or maybe even greater. That's just a semi-educated guess so don't quote me on that.

I would actually like to split up the forum into sections, tho not specifically Coupe vs. Sedan. Unfortunately the forum software does not support what we want to do so we will have to work with their programmer to redo the code. No idea how long that will take.

I understand where you're coming from, but as we all know, the coupe is the "new kid on the block" and of course all the owners will flock and post with excitement and joy as they try to learn more about their vehicles and looking for others with the same interest.

us sedan owners are kinda in limbo, because there's nothing really new we can post that someone else hasn't already. the only topics that really separate the S's and the C's is the cosmetic issues (bodykit) and exhaust systems. other than that, I see no real need to split the forum, all our cars are badged as altimas, and we all learn and share from each other's questions and answers.

I think this is how the previous gen owners felt when the 07s came flocking to this site.

now with that being said, SOMEBODY post a new HID, intake, wheels/tires or lowering springs question cause I haven't seen on in like 10 minutes...lol.

Yo jd, you don't count though because you spend all your free time in Gen Chat

I too have wondered where all the Sedan owners are. I fear we might have alienated them. I think a split would be wise. And Sedan owners are more than welcome to continue to participate in both forums! The fact of the matter is; there are ALOT more sedans out there than coupes. So the forum should cater/respect their territory.

I don't really care if the coupes and sedans are together...What would be great is a "PM' (Private message) feature like most forums im on

Well, on a positive note...I don't have to ask myself..."Where should I post this?"

I think its better that sedan and coupe owners are able to brainstorm together. As generic said, the cars are built from more or less the same components. Us coupe owners just might not be able to relate to a problem like rear windows not rolling down

+500 on being able to PM! That is a very convenient feature that i miss having on this forum!!

Very good point Willy. Have you made pedals for the coupe yet?
