The speedometer on my '65 L-320 does not work and the problem is at the transmission. I have removed the cable connector at the transmission which allows me to pull it and the sheath away from the transmission. However, I cannot get the cable to release and come out of the transmission. Is there a trick to this or what am I missing? Since the cable does not turn when the wheels are turning, I expect the problem may be inside the transmission. It appears that I could remove what I assume to be the cable gear from the transmssion, but the cable has to be removed first to allow the use of a large socket. Any help will be appreciated.
