speedo cable

hi all, i have an 85 300zx with an electronic dash and my speedometer cable broke on me recently. needless to say i have searched all the yards in my area and online and cant fine one at a reasonable price, nissan wants 75 dollars for a 3 foot cable which i find very unreasonable. can anyone help me out? need one badly. thanks

well maybe im just to old school,lol,i havent messed whith imports till i got my girl a 240 sx and then i got this 300zx, im a chevy guy myself and it aint nothing to get a new cable from a parts store for 10.00, im just hoping maybe someone has a 300z thatd it for they are parting out that aint posted in the part out section that could help me out, ive searched they part out section for about 4 weeks now with no results, so someone plzzzz help me,lol

there are a lot more cheby's otu there and the need replacment more often the problem wiht the Z31 is that there are at least 2 different speedo/speeed sensor configurations, for a reletively low production car that was only in production for a total f6 years and I'd be willing to bey they don't interchange with anything else

"Electronic dash" meaning the digital cluster? I wasn't even aware that they had the speedo cable. Or at least, not one like the analog ones had. You know, the orange cable of cluster reinstallation gayness.

oh yeah they have a speedo cable. its a little short one that runs up to the passenger side inner fender to a box that converts the signal to a digital signal for the speedometer

84-86 analog dash = cable from transmission to cluster.87-89 analog dash = sensor on pinion gear assembly, electronic signal to dashall digital dash = cable from transmission to sensor on right side strut tower just in front of the battery.
