Speed vs RPM

not sure if anyone can help but I had to replace my speedometer needle and I think my 91 hardbody kingcab pulled 2750 rpm at 70. I had to put needle on and when I removed old broken one i noticed the needle when it does not hit the stop post falls below zero at rest. I pushed it on slightly and pulled it above the stop post. Anyone with 5 speed do you know RPM in 5th at 70? is it close to 2750 rpm? That appears to be what I am running and hope it is close. maybe find a cop to radar me

Well I have the Z24i 4cyl ill take it to 70 and give u the RPM

I'm taching just shy of 3k @ 70mph. 2.4L 5spd Reg Cab 2wd.

Thanks rev I am right at 2750 and I believe that was the old place, I have slightly larger tires than stock and according to the tire calculater I found online this must be damn close to right. Thanks again for the check out.

Hmm im guessing ThE Z24 and co are a bit different than the KA... My Tach is showin up 3k at 60

probably different over all gearing. I need to find a nice cop with radar gun hehe
